Very nice introduction. Most developers don't have the analog background in signal processing. They are already used to digital processors, so it never seems clear what the distinction between a DSP versus a regular MCU or a full CPU is. They are all digital. The entire point of a DSP is that you work with analog signals, but process them digitally.

Great content, yet why are the figures so horrible in terms of resolution. I’m reading it on my smart phone and have a hard time deciphering anything on these images.

The PDF is full resolution. <a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.analog.com&#x2F;media&#x2F;en&#x2F;analog-dialogue&#x2F;volume-31&#x2F;number-1&#x2F;articles&#x2F;volume31-number1.pdf#page=3" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.analog.com&#x2F;media&#x2F;en&#x2F;analog-dialogue&#x2F;volume-31&#x2F;nu...</a>

“Discrete-Time Signal Processing” by Oppenheim is another great resource.
