I used to say money is never the problem when people ask what is needed to build a better society, because people don't care if the government spends $33B to commit genocide, but ask them to spend the same $33B to relieve student debt or subsidy health care or help the homeless, and they will strongly opposed to.
The US is $37 trillion in debt and operating on an accelerating deficit. Giving this much money to buy a genocide from a country with decades of ethnic cleansing legacy is completely selling the future health of the US for at least one or two generations to come.<p>This sounds treasonous of our political leaders. I am trying to think of another less extreme description but nothing so appropriate is coming to mind.
