    The same things which always have been the matter is the problem. It hasn&#x27;t improved because the ABI models inside the major mail clients aren&#x27;t designed to make it work and they are in constant upgrade-warfare to maintain spec. I had viable PGP for years in OSX Mail.app and then.. it just stopped. There is zero income in &quot;pay another $4 for this upgrade&quot; because eventually we all go back to using emacs or some wierd-ass shell client for the unavoidable burdens.<p>I do think the failure of keystores to keep up kind of also doesn&#x27;t help, and the key party dynamic has vanished. Nobody seems to organize them any more. Maybe we all are dinosoars, and we all did die out. No meteor needed.
